What age can my child start learning Yoruba or Igbo?
We teach children aged 4 to 16. Young children pick up sounds and words quickly, and older children can progress to reading, writing and conversation.
What will my child learn in Yoruba lessons?
Greetings and respect, tones and pronunciation, everyday conversation, reading and writing Yoruba with tone marks, and proverbs, stories and songs that bring the culture to life.
What will my child learn in Igbo classes?
Greetings and respect, pronunciation and tones, everyday conversation, reading and writing the Igbo alphabet, and proverbs, folktales and songs that bring the culture to life.
My child understands but won't speak. Can you help?
Yes, this is very common in diaspora families. Our tutors build confidence step by step with short, friendly speaking tasks until replying in Yoruba or Igbo feels natural.
I don't speak the language well myself. Can my child still learn?
Absolutely. Your tutor leads the learning, and we share simple ways you can encourage practice at home, even if you are learning alongside your child.
Are language lessons one-to-one or in a group?
Both. Choose one-to-one lessons or small groups of up to 4 children. We recommend the best option after assessing your child.
How do I get started?
Book a consultation and tell us which language you'd like. We'll assess your child, match them with a native-speaking tutor and set up their learning portal so lessons can begin.
