Getting started

What ages do you teach?

We teach children and young people aged 4 to 16, from early reading and numbers through to GCSE preparation.

How do I enrol my child?

There are three ways to start, so choose whatever suits you: book an assessment so we can understand your child's needs first, try a free trial class, or go straight to our sign-up form (also available from the Sign up button at the top of every page).

How soon can my child start?

Straight away. As soon as the assessment is done, we set your child up on our learning management portal and lessons can begin.

How is Naijatutors Konnect different from other online tutoring platforms?

We pair children with experienced Nigerian tutors who combine high expectations with warmth and cultural connection. We also diagnose before we teach, so every plan is built around your child rather than a one-size-fits-all programme.

Why choose a Nigerian tutor for my child who lives abroad?

Nigerian educators are known for rigour and discipline. For diaspora children, they also offer familiarity, respect and a link to home that builds confidence. Learn more about our Nigerian tutors.

Do you follow my child's school curriculum?

Yes. Lessons are tailored to the curriculum your child follows, whether that's the UK National Curriculum, Canadian provincial curricula, US Common Core, or British and American schools in the UAE. We match your child with a tutor who knows their system.

Lessons & programmes

What subjects and programmes do you offer?

Maths, English and Sciences; exam preparation including the 11+, SATs, GCSE, A-Levels, SAT and IB; languages including Yoruba, Igbo and French; and skills programmes such as coding, web design, financial literacy, public speaking and handwriting. See all subjects.

Are lessons one-to-one or in groups?

Both. We offer private one-to-one classes, and small group classes with a maximum of 4 children, so every child gets attention.

Are online lessons interactive?

Yes. Lessons are live, with video, interactive quizzes and multimedia content that keep children engaged and talking, not just listening.

Can I watch my child's lessons?

Yes. Parents are welcome to watch lessons in the background, as long as they don't interrupt the tutor.

Do you provide extra learning resources?

Yes. We provide supplementary materials, including practice questions for homework, so children can reinforce what they learn in class.

How quickly will I see improvement?

Most parents notice a boost in confidence within the first few weeks. Academic progress depends on your child's starting point and goals, and we provide regular updates so you can see how they are doing.

My child is already doing well. Can you stretch them further?

Yes. We work with high achievers too, through 11+ and entrance exam preparation, advanced maths and enrichment programmes like coding and public speaking.

Tutors & safety

What qualifications do your tutors have?

Our tutors are experienced educators with deep knowledge of their subjects. Every tutor passes our 5-stage vetting process before teaching with us.

How do you keep my child safe online?

Every tutor passes our 5-stage vetting process before teaching with us, and our sessions are monitored.

Can we switch tutors?

Yes, at any time. If you or your child aren't comfortable with a tutor, we'll match you with a different one.

How secure is my child's data?

Your child's privacy matters to us. We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect all user data.

Progress & support

How can I track my child's progress?

You receive regular session reports from your child's tutor. You can also follow progress anytime through your child's portal, where you can see their learning materials, completed assignments, quiz performance and more.

What devices does my child need?

A computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone with a stable internet connection. Our platform works on modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.

Is technical support available?

Yes. Our team provides live support through WhatsApp and will help you sort out any issue quickly.

Which time zones are classes scheduled in?

All of them. We support families in every time zone, wherever you live. Our tutors work around the clock, so we can schedule lessons at times that suit your family.

When are classes held?

During term time, classes are held after school and at weekends. During the holidays, classes run in the morning, afternoon and evening, depending on your time zone.

How much are the fees?
