QUESTIONS PARENTS ASK

Frequently asked questions.

What ages do you teach English to?

Children aged 4 to 16, from phonics and first reading through to GCSE and IGCSE English.

Do your tutors follow my child's school curriculum?

Yes. We match your child with a tutor who knows their system, whether that's the UK National Curriculum, US Common Core, Canadian provincial curricula, or British and American schools in the UAE.

Can you help with creative writing?

Yes. Tutors help children plan, draft and improve stories and descriptive pieces, building vocabulary, structure and confidence so writing feels less daunting.

My child is a reluctant reader. Can you help?

Yes. Tutors start with books and topics your child enjoys, build fluency step by step and celebrate progress, so reading becomes something they choose to do.

Do you prepare children for 11+, SATs and GCSE English?

Yes. We cover 11+ English, KS2 SATs reading and grammar, and GCSE and IGCSE English Language and Literature, including exam technique and timed practice.

Are English lessons one-to-one or in a group?

Both. Choose one-to-one lessons or small groups of up to 4 children. We recommend the best option after assessing your child.

How do I get started?

Book a consultation or enrol online. We'll assess your child's reading and writing, match them with the right tutor and set up their learning portal so lessons can begin.
